The supporting letters which we have are more than simple back-slapping and cheer-leading.
These letters contradict advice from council staff which I believe led Taunton Executive to reject the recommendations of the Overview and Standards following a previous presentation.
Furthermore they come from national arts and heritage organisations which are statutory bodies appointed by government
who local authorities are obliged to consult on matters of arts and heritage.
